Psychological Assessment & Therapy

When you first come to therapy, we will spend some time undertaking an assessment of your difficulties before working together to develop a shared understanding of them.  This understanding is called a psychological formulation, and it enables me to develop a detailed treatment plan which takes your own needs and personal goals into account.  When delivering psychological therapy, I draw on a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as other therapeutic models.  As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained to work in a way that integrates different therapies.  This means that your therapy is uniquely tailored to you.  Regardless of your individual goals and desired outcomes for therapy, I aim to give you a space to feel listened to and understood, to make meaning from what you're going through and to reduce your distress.

Medicolegal & Expert Witness 

I am experienced in forensic risk assessment, mental health assessment in relation to legal proceedings, and personal and criminal injury work.  I can provide reports to the court to assist with both civil and criminal matters.  Please get in touch to discuss your requirements and to arrange an estimate.
